The Ronald McDonald House provides temporary housing to families whose children, age 18 or younger, receiving medically necessary ongoing care; inpatient or 4 appointments per week if outpatient at a Rochester medical facility and are not a resident of Olmsted County. One room is provided per family. Guests will be asked to provide weekly medical appointment confirmation.
As the Ronald McDonald House is a community living environment, we ask that all families respect the Rules & Expectations.
Rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations can not be made in advance. We ask that when you arrive in Rochester for your child’s medical care, you call the House (507)282-3955 for room availability (guests do not need a referral from a Mayo Clinic social worker to be placed on wait list). If we are full when you arrive, we can provide reduced rates at area hotels for families on our waiting list until a room becomes available. Please refer to the eligibility & referral process for more information.
