Thank you for your generous offer to host a House Dinner for the children and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, Minnesota!

In an overabundance of caution, and with a focus on the health and safety of children and families, the House is taking the following steps to minimize the risk of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) exposure to guests, staff and volunteers:

The House Dinner program is being paused until further notice, effective immediately.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause.

The House Dinner Program offers children and families staying at our House the comfort of a warm and delicious meal, prepared with love from our caring community.

During the downtime, the House Dinner Program was revamped, enhancing the expectations for groups to ensure a well-rounded, enjoyable experience for volunteers and families alike! A few of the changes include:

  • No Sundays: Due to the growing number of families and wanting to provide a well-rounded experience for dinner group volunteers, the House is offering dinner opportunities Monday through Thursday evenings! It is very important that families and volunteers alike have an enjoyable experience with great on-site support. The House Dinner Program will continue to be evaluated for additional opportunities in the future.
  • Volunteers must be at least 13 years old: Due to size of the kitchen and for the safety of all volunteers involved, the minimum age to be a part of a House Dinner group is 13 years old. Please have at least one adult for every four youth ages 13-16.
  • Group size can be up to 15 people
  • House Dinner Expectations and Group Agreement Form to be completed and returned
